Who We Are

The Institute Make It Happen is a civil organization society of public interest which promotes sport and development for the citizenship activities to young people of socially and economically poor communities in Salvador. The Institute was founded in 2003 through people in the business, academic and sport areas in the city of Salvador.

The main objective of the organization is to offer for these teenager sport practices, arranged with lessons of development for the citizenship about subjects like Peace Education, Health Education and Equal Rights Education, among other subjects.

The action of these activities are to make a connection through receiving sponsorships and partnerships with private businesses, international organisms, governamental organisms, universities and other NGOs, viewing the development of a network wich permits to benefit the great number of kids through the lowest cost possible.

Our projects are developed following the steps:

1 – Identification of appropriate available spaces to practice sports and the development for citizenship lessons, like public locations, community associations, social and university clubs, among others, with wich we achieve partnership for the activities being achieved without costs.

2 – After partnership achivement, identification of needed communities next to space obtained.

3 – Sponsorship support linked with private businesses, international organisms, donors and governamental organs, among others, wich permits to financially link the achievement oh the project.

After completing these steps, we begin the project activities. Every group attends about thirty teenagers between tem and fifteen years old and it lasts for ten months .
