IFA hits the number of 500 teenagers served
In March 2010, Fazer Acontecer Institute completed seven years of citizenship-oriented educational projects and hit the number of 500 teenagers served concurrently. This number was achieved thanks to the collaboration of all the partners engaged over the past years. We would like to acknowledge all the organizations and companies that keep supporting us, and also those that helped us in the past: WebForce Networks, Worktime Assessoria Empresarial, Fluxo Soluções Integradas, Metalúrgica Squadrilar, Belmetal, ACEB, The Global Fund for Children, Empower, UFBA, UNICEF and UNESCO.
IFA present in two more towns of the semi-arid of the State of Bahia

Past February, IFA started its activities in two more towns of the semi-arid in Bahia: Ichú and Retirolândia. In these two towns, 60 teachers are already trained in education-sport and the classes are in progress. The support of the local civil society has been very important to the full leverage the project has been benefiting from in these communities.
All the partnerships renewed in 2010
One more time, as a prove of the seriousness and confidence reposed in the work performed, all our partners renewed the contracts with IFA to the present year. In 2010, IFA will serve teenagers in three communities in Salvador: Recanto Feliz, Calabar and Saramandaia. The work in the countryide of the State of Bahia goes on, now in the cities of Riachão do Jacuípe, Valente, Retirolândia and Ichú, training teachers and allowing low income teenagers to practice sports.
IFA receives Inter-American Foundation's representative
Still in past February, IFA was visited by Amy Kirschenbaum, Inter-American Foundation representative. Amy came to Salvador to know more closely IFA's representatives and discuss better actions so that the “Sport and Education in the Semi-arid” project can achieve a bigger success.
Empower's representative visits IFA one more time
Empower's representative Andrea Lynch visited IFA one more time this March. As in the past year, Lynch visited IFA's facilities and got very satisfied with the work performed: “it's always nice to visit IFA. The members' enthusiasm, the teachers and coaches' dedication, the coordinators' commitment with a continuous learning, in addition to the program's improvement and deepening, always inspire me. IFA is hugely growing, not only in terms of size and coverage, but also in terms of quality. Congratulations”, said Lynch. .
